As I walk back from class to my dorm I pass by one of the weirdest/coolest things I think I may have ever seen.
The Flaming Mustache.
It appeared a few weeks into fall semester and has been there ever since. I've probably walked past it at least a hundred times, but every time I see it I can't help but think,
"How COOL Is that?! . . . it's A FLAMING MUSTACHE!!"
I know I'm not the only one who gets overjoyed from seeing this highly unique form of artwork. Each time I walk by I see at least a few people taking pictures with their phones or cameras--probably because no one will believe their tale about a flaming mustache right next to the HFAC! (To be honest, I wouldn't either if I didn't have a personal encounter with the 'stache.)
Sadly, I don't know the story behind it. The panel on the side says that it is titled "Self-Portrait." It also says "Materials used: steel, propane rubber, and fire."
Hahaha. Isn't that great?!
Someday, I'll find find the real story behind the flaming mustache, but for now . . .
it's THE Flaming Mustache!
And it makes me happy.
Simple as that :)
